CAPACITY LIMITS: In accordance with guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the allowable occupancy level for the pool facility will be set at 75% occupancy, or 328 patrons. It is rare that the facility reaches this number of patrons, so it is unlikely we will have to turn anyone away. However, in the event that the number of patrons in the facility nears the allowable occupancy level, the facility will suspend daily admission pass sales to ensure that NO SEASON PASS HOLDERS WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
POOL OPERATION: Our highest priority is ensuring the safety of all pool patrons by promoting a clean, healthy, and safe environment in and around our pool. The Pennsylvania Department of Health has determined that public pools may open provided they follow CDC guidelines for public pools. Myerstown Community Pool will adhere to the CDC guidelines, and all state regulations for businesses operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Follow the link below for more information on these guidelines.
IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE:
"CDC is not aware of any scientific reports of the virus that causes COVID-19 spreading to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, water playgrounds, or other treated aquatic venues."
Masks WILL NOT be required while swimming, and are discouraged, as wet masks make it difficult to breathe and likely will not work correctly.
Masks WILL be required when not swimming.
Staff and patrons will be encouraged to social distance both in the pool and out of the pool by staying at least 6 feet away from people they don't live with.
Capacity limits will be enforced to ensure social distancing can be maintained.
